sharepoint - MOSS 2007: 3 additional assembly binding redirects, where are they coming from -

The web of my custom settings and a newly installed mous. A webcam with a working web server with config. Is configured I

There are 3 redirects I source of I do not know:

  & lt; DependantAssembly & gt; & Lt; Assembly ID name = "Microsoft SharePoint.Port.Siligison" PublicKitocon = "71e9bce111e9429c" culture = "neutral" /> & Lt; Compulsive Redirect Old Version = "11.0.0.0" Newverson = "12.0.0.0" /> & Lt; / DependentAssembly & gt; & Lt; DependentAssembly & gt; & Lt; Assembly ID name = "Microsoft SharePoint.Port.Siligison.Security" PublicKitokon = "71e9bce111e9429c" culture = "neutral" /> & Lt; Compulsive Redirect Old Version = "11.0.0.0" Newverson = "12.0.0.0" /> & Lt; / DependentAssembly & gt; & Lt; DependentAssembly & gt; & Lt; Assembly name = "SPCanary_NET" publicKeyToken = "71e9bce111e9429c" culture = "neutral" /> & Lt; Compulsive Redirect Old Version = "11.0.0.0" Newverson = "12.0.0.0" /> & Lt; / DependentAssembly & gt;

I do not remember to add them manually and they do not appear in the latest config. Both installations are SP1, I suspect some updates can add these. just curious. Do anyone know when they actually add these redirects and SPCanary_Net ?

Thank you!

These three assemblies are all SharePoint DLLs, you can be equal to all of them with a public key token and Can match all other SharePoint DLLs.

Binary redirects are automatically added by SharePoint (probably WSS administration service) so that the code that was compiled for the previous version will still work against the new version. I do not know why this happens after creating a web application from the beginning, but I have seen it myself.

This is used by Microsoft Office SharePoint Search using SPCanary_net (located at C) \ program files \ Microsoft Office Servers \ 12.0 \ Bin \ SPCanary.dll ) ' The use of the word canary indicates that if some error occurs then some types die.

Update: These three redirections are added with the installation of MOSS 2007 SP2. / P>
