sharepoint - WSS 3.0 email forwarding -

I have established WSS and some sites have I set outgoing email address as SharePoint @. ..... When I get a message from the server and try to answer it, it does not go anywhere because there is no sharepoint ... Email account. Is there a way to set it up so that email goes to site owners? That way they can respond accordingly? We will have many different sites and bosses and it would be great if I could establish such a way. Any guidance would be great.

First of all: I do not know if you know, but you can override default outbound SMTP settings based on per-web application - You are not limited to outbound settings just within the Central Admin's "Operations" tab. To see what I'm describing, go to "Central Administration"> "Application Management"> "Web App Outgoing Email Settings". It does not give you completely controlled control, but does give you many addresses and can be used constructively, for example:

  1. You can actually create one or more SharePoint ..... ........ e-mail account of the style you are describing, Incoming e-mail inside SharePoint Configure, and then share one of the site collections within each web application with SharePoint list @ Associate es. This site alone pushes owners to push "nothing", but e-mail enabled lists can be seen by the owners (or inquiries) to determine whether owners need to take action.

  2. Extension # 1, you can create a workflow or event receiver on an e-mail enabled list that checks the content of incoming e-mails (since the message is new list item And the e-mail message body is mapped in a list area) Assume that the body of the original outbound e-mail can be formatted in a way that can be parsed (and some Includes something that looks like Can Apply), the list can be removed workflow from e-mail lookup field or address and then e-mail to the party or parties concerned within the workflow. This gives you some "push" functionality that you want, but again - this is not a complete solution.

Enabling email list is sometimes controversial topic, because it may require some SMTP changes within your organization and you will be able to access SMTP service Need to be installed.

More information on this topic has been discussed on TechNet. I hope it helps you and / or gives you some ideas.
