What is the difference between Computer Science and Information Science? -

I have thrown these two words with the same friends by the people. As much as I have heard, computer science is more mathematically rigorous and its graduates write more code.

Does a computer science student differentiate the information science student from? What different career paths are available for each university?

In my university, IS is located in the College of Business; And intended as a business-oriented software developer track; Teach people to weigh up business concerns with development concerns.

Computer Science (which I have been told in engineering college is unusual) gives more attention to the way to solve problems; And usually will be very much in depth.

As a better example, in my university, in the Computer Science course, you can implement a memory manager in C as part of an operating system theory class; An IS Course may be that you can apply a simple inventory manager to VB

And of course, what I have heard, IS basically CS, CS dropout for business mathematics, and The fear of strong mathematics with the developers.
