Using Facebook as an Example : Is Facebook login considered sufficient because it is considered a legal / secure login or requires a full redirection on Facebook?

I know that Facebook is trying to push Facebook connect, but I'm not sure if they still allow this kind of thing or something that they can get rid of trying.

Any thoughts?

I think the current state of art is in cross-domain data sharing.
