Is it a good idea(tm) to use REST ideas to design 'some service' from the ground up? -

If you want to start a 'website' which may be accessible from many 'endpoint', from the beginning, a REST Is it a good idea to design perspective?

I am thinking that the answer is yes ... but is there any other opinion?

Is the 'starting point' for your system's design, which is relatively extensible and not defined in the way? Lesson ">

I suggest that the best starting point is the data model, which is the most important factor to think about which data you will be storing and how it relates to other data

Once a solid foundation has been set for the model, it exposes it to many additional consumers through REST, SOAP, RSS, ATOM, etc.
