java - Ideas for building a virtual conference -

I am trying to create a virtual conference framework that provides functionality to keep virtual summit / conference.

Some key features:

  • Graphical representation of conference room hall (probably different styles?)
  • Invite people to summit / conference Other useful ideas to add, ability to register, register, cancel registration
  • Video podcast / broadcast
  • PPT and other presentation formats

? Considering a Java EE / Java based platform - this decision is purely based on my expertise. Are there any reference implementations / templates that I can use to start the wheel instead of changing it?
